Do you ever just-
No, nevermind
It's better in my own mind
Still I find truth runner-up
To a better storyline
Sometimes I just-
No, it's okay
We're okay
We'd say that the same phrase
Always
It's made up of partial cliches
She thought I hold too close to yesterday
Every rose patio play-date
I think we remember them different ways
It's okay
She used to do a little thing with her eyes
I would over-analyze them all the time
If she'd been there I'd be too afraid
With that voice whose meaning is always up for grabs
I'm slipping back past the line that we made
No, I'm sorry that part was my bad
If you were here I’d have to try my best I bet
To reset the journey once put to bed
It reminds me that I've tried so hard to forget
I think I have a lot of regrets
